Our farthest was 837 cm, and everyone else's was also really far.We had a lot of great ideas and everyone got 2 chances to make it go as far as possible. It was all really exciting and scientific. We all had to use our engineering and math skills and the outcome was awesome! -SD
Today we had some PTA members come over to our classroom to make an art project for the auction in the cafeteria during the fall fair. It was lots of fun and the outlook was amazing! Look for this masterpiece, the 5th grade artwork, and the 5th grade Spurs basket on Friday!
by Suha After a very productive morning of math and a science lab, we were all ready to stretch our legs. At the suggestion of a student, extra recess was offered in exchange for every student doing 100 jumping jacks. They were all in!! We went straight outside, knocked-out the jumping jacks and stayed out an extra 5 minutes for recess. The folks crack me up!! :)
